Period

The next topic of discussion is about changing the period of a function.

You learned about the period of a function in the last section, but here is a quick review of the definitions.

The period of the functions f(x) = sin(kx), f(x) = cos(kx), f(x) = csc(kx), and f(x) = sec(kx) is 2pi over k, for k > 0. 

The period of the functions f(x) = tan(kx) and f(x) = cot(kx) is pi over k, for k > 0.
