Law of Sines and Law of Cosines: Introduction
What happens if you aren’t given a right triangle but rather one that is either obtuse or acute? You will not be able to use the trigonometric ratios you learned in Unit 3. You will, on the other hand, be able to use the Law of Sines and the Law of Cosines.
In this section, you will be asked to “solve the triangle” using the Law of Sines or the Law of Cosines. When you are asked to solve the triangle, it means that you need to find any missing sides or angles.
